American Idol viral video superstar General Larry Platt gave a live performance of his original hit song 'Pants on the Ground' for The View audience on Monday morning.
Larry Platt performed the extended version of 'Pants on the Ground' in The View studio and capped off the performance with splits, push-ups and sit-ups before giving a breathless interview to Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
Larry Platt said he didn't know if his audition would end up on the American Idol editing room floor or make it in to the Atlanta auditions episode. Larry Platt said that when he saw his audition air on American Idol's Wednesday night installment: "I got so happy. It made me feel good."
Larry Platt's performance of 'Pants on the Ground' was especially rousing in that he performed his original piece on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Platt marched with Dr. King during the civil rights movements of the 1960s.

The Jimmy Fallon version as Neil Young is genius --he actually makes the lyrics seem poignant or something. Check that out if you get a chance --I think there's a link on Huff Po.
