On Friday, Jason Rodriguez allegedly went on a shooting spree in an office building in Orlando, Florida killing one person, and wounding five others. The suspect then fled the scene and was apprehended without incident at his mother’s home. The shooting occurred on the eighth floor of a high-rise building.
In a press conference this afternoon, Mayor Buddy Dyer said, "The information we have is that the victims were all employees of one company." He added that the wounded victims are all in stable condition.
Police Chief Val Demings said that the information they have so far is that the gunman acted alone. They stated that the alledged shooter was a former employee who had been let go for performance issues in 2007, and recently filed for bankruptcy.

In 2007, Sulejman Talovi? began a 3 hours deadly shooting spree in the Trolley Square mall in Salt Lake City which resulted in the deaths of five people. An off duty cop from Ogden happened to be in the mall having dinner and was able to help police. After the shooting, it was determine that Talovic committed the shooting for religious reasons.
