A disturbing video of a crying toddler getting tattooed while being restrained by a woman, thought to be his mother, surfaced on the Internet this weekend. Since that time, the footage has gone viral. According to the January 28 issue of the UK's Daily Mail, footage was thought to have been taped in Havana, Cuba.
Tattoos hurt
Tattoos are applied with a needle, and do hurt. Everyone's pain threshold is different, and some adults even cry or pass out from fear when getting a tattoo. However, that is their choice. This little toddler, who is thought to be around 3-years old, was clearly afraid and probably hurting. His distraught screams and cries are clearly heard over the hardcore music playing in the background as he struggles to escape the woman's grip.
Is the video real?
There's no indication of what type of tattoo the boy received. Why anyone would take such a young child in to get a tattoo is beyond reason, and why any tattoo artist would agree to ink such tender skin makes no sense. It leads one to wonder if the video is real or staged.
Response to the video
Real or not, viewers expressed their displeasure with the video.
One said, "What mother in their right mind can put their child through bull****like this."
Another said, "This can't be the mother - no real loving mother would do such a horrible and stupid thing, right?"
It is not clear if the woman in the video is the boy's mother, and there is no glimpse of the tattoo itself. The one thing that is sure is that the video is disturbing and has sparked outrage across the Internet.
