"Octomom" Nadya Suleman will be a guest on The View on Wednesday, February 24th, the show's producer announced Thursday.
Suleman's story became one of the biggest controversies of 2009 when the single mother gave birth to octoplets after artificial insemination. "Octomom" is something of a misnomer since Nadya Suleman was already the mother to six children before the octoplet birth, several of them with special needs.
The View co-hosts examined Nadya Suleman's saga during a Hot Topics segment last February shortly after Octomom gave birth. At the time, the panelists presented a picture of Suleman as both intelligent and resourceful.
"She's not a dummy," said Joy Behar. "She's a smart woman."
Co-host Sherri Shepherd felt that: "some counseling might be in order (for Suleman)because she does have six, and one of her children is autisitic."
Elisabeth Hasselbeck was, of course, concerned about the cost to American taxpayers and pointed out the the babies' time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) could cost $75,000 a year per child.
