If there was ever proof someone can be wrong on one issue and right on another issue Bill O' Reilly has given us ample proof this week.
Earlier I criticized O' Reilly, appropriately I believe, for his confusion of vital facts in the health care debate. O' Reilly had said that America's life expectancy was smaller than Canada's because America has ten times as many people. At the same time, O' Reilly can also allow for well-educated debates on issues with those he interviews. So in the end O' Reilly is that rare breed who can at times confuse and distort the issue and at other times add clarity and information to a debate. He is truly a contradiction within himself.
Yesterday, rather than going after the Canadians O' Reilly went after the Birthers. As I watched O' Reilly I all of the sudden understood what it must be like to be a Republican who listens to O' Reilly daily. While his points are often times too simple and could use some more sophistication he does accomplish the goal of persuasively communicating the major talking points of an issue in a very short time period. In this video clip O' Reilly answers viewer email from Birthers who press him Obama's citizenship. Watch and enjoy.
