The ladies who are competing for Miss America 2013 had a special moment on Monday. While the competition is busy getting ready for the show, all eyes were on the sky for the Thunderbirds flyover. Four jets from the United States Air Force did a perfect formation as they graced the skies above the Miss America filming. The shoot near the Las Vegas strip and the reigning Miss America was working the camera as the jets passed over.
“WOW! Just had the coolest experience as Miss A by far!! Hint...The Thunderbirds were involved!! #ProudToBeAnAmerican,” tweeted 2012 Miss America Laura Kaeppeler from her official Twitter account on Monday.
The moment definitely was perfect. With the jets roaring over the sky, it was an exciting opportunity for the ladies in the upcoming pageant. Looking to find the best woman out of the 53 vying for the crown, the tight competition has to be extremely stressful. The Miss America contestants have to show their best side and share a moment in the spotlight just hoping to win the top crown.
