For many weeks during the Gulf oil spill disaster Governor Bobby Jindal (R-La.) complained about the inability to gain federal permits to build sand bernms off the coast of Louisiana. Gov. Jindal claimed the berms needed to be approved quickly to stop the oil spill from coming ashore along the Louisiana coastline. The Obama administration eventually approved many of the permits, but the conservative community claimed that the bureaucratic delays were unjustifiable.
However, new evidence shows that there may have been good reason to delay the permits, or possible reject them all together. A number of the berms which have been built have now washed away because they were built improperly. A number of experts along the Gulf Coast claim they were not consulted on the steps which must be taken to build permanent berms, as opposed to temporary stopgaps. The berms were put in place built by dredging up sand from the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico and this sand is very limited in quantity. Scientists now fear the Gulf Coast is throwing away its ability to protect itself because of the rushed plan implemented by Governor Jindal.
In addition, the berms seemed to have had very limited effectiveness in actually stopping or containing the oil spill. In many cases the oil simply went around the berms since they were small in number and not strategically placed along the coast. Some oil was certainly caught by the berms, but many claim the same amount of oil could have simply been contained using skimmers.
The Gulf oil spill disaster was partially created by lax governmental oversight, and a rush to get oil while skipping safety guidelines. It seems that the response to the spill may have followed the same pattern of mistakes, wasting away precious resources in a rush of judgment.

The oil spill isn't the only disaster in the U.S. not present in the UK, Amway has ripped off millions of people for several decades, to the tune of 10s of billions of dollars.
Read about it on this website: thenetprofitgroup.yolasite.com and forward the information to everyone you know, so they don't get scammed.
Amway is a scam, and here's why: Amway pays out as little money as they can get away with, so they support the higher level IBOs ripping off their downline via the tool scam.
As a result, about 99% of IBOs operate at a net loss, while the top 1% make several TIMES more from their Amway tool scam than from the Amway products. This was made illegal in the UK in 2008, but our FTC is unable to pull their heads out of their butts to stop it here.
