Lupe Fiasco and Guy Sebastian were on the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon show to perform a live rendition of their hit song "Battle Scars" backed by The Roots.
The song "Battle Scars" was released digitally in Australia and New Zealand last year on Sony Music Entertainment. The song is written by Sebastian, Fiasco and David Ryan Harris. The song is on Sebastian's album "Armageddon" and on Fiasco's album "Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1."
The song "Battle Scars" debuted at number one on the ARIA Singles Chart in its first week of release. The song has since been certified 7× platinum in Australia and double platinum in New Zealand.
"Battle Scars" also debuted on the United States Billboard charts at number 73 on the Hot 100, number 23 on the Digital Song Chart and number one on the R&B/Hip-hop Digital Song Chart.
The song is nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration. The awards airs on February 1 on NBC.
Fiasco's album "Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt.1" has been nominated for Best Rap Album in the 55th Annual Grammys. The awards air on February 10th at CBS.
