The show opened with Bill Hader portraying Shepard Smith in a Fox News sketch as he interviews Mitt Romney (Jason Sudeikis). During the skit, Smith focused on the strangely well-behaved Romney sons, and commented, “I like creepy things, so I love you boys... I'd like to book you a three-night stay in my nightmares.”

Lindsay then performed her monologue, and focused on her recent legal troubles, as she was patted down by Kristen Wiig and her eyes were checked to determine whether they were bloodshot or not by Kenan Thompson. In addition, 'Mad Men's' Jon Hamm was in the audience to perform duties as the back-up host should Lindsay be unable to perform as host.

'The Real Housewives of Disney' skit included a drunk Cinderella, a Princess Jasmine that had intimate relations with Lago the parrot, and a Belle who appeared to be channeling Lady Gaga.

Next, the '2012 Psychic Awards' sketch featured an awards show just for those who have the ability to see into the future. At one point in the skit, certain psychics became extremely uncomfortable when the 'In Memorium' portion of the event is aired and refers to several of the attendees who will die in 2012, revealing the nature of their deaths.

Lindsay also mocks herself in the 'Scared Straight' sketch. She and Kenan play jail inmates who try to scare troubled youths from engaging in a life of crime. Unfortunately, Lindsay's reliance on the teleprompter is glaring, but fortunately Kenan and the rest of the cast shine.

'Weekend Update' included Bill Hader as James Carville, and Snooki (Bobby Moynihan) showed up to announce the father of her unborn child is Jon Hamm.

The 'Big Afro Wedding Invitation' short featured Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig sitting under the largest afro in the world in a digital wedding invitation.

Lindsay is featured in a the next skit, which is about the earliest hip hop radio show in Minnesota, hosted by Tarn Killam and Bobby Moynihan.

The show then aired a commercial spoof for Chantix that was shown earlier in the season when Charles Barkley hosted 'SNL.'

One of the best and most bizarre sketches aired late in the show and featured Kristen Wiig as a woman who has hired Megan (Lindsay) to house sit her home. Kristen makes outrageously hilarious faces as she tells the house sitter “...I'm sorry, you're going to die in my house!”

Another repeat of a commercial sketch aired featuring Fred Armisen in a Verizon store.

Andy Samberg then portrays a rude Buddha who offers strange, but amusing advice to his followers.

Finally, Jason Sudeikis takes on the role of weird guy who reminices by a fire about music from the 1970s.

In addition, Jack White performed two songs during the show with two different bands.
