BMI presented its annual pre-Grammy event,“How I Wrote That Song" event on January 25 at The House of Blues in West Hollywood. The panel included ACM and CMA ‌winning songwriter Dallas Davidson, Grammy nominated and winning artists Linda Perry, Wiz Khalifa, Alex Da Kid and Charlie Wilson.

The event was sponsored by Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and moderated by BMI Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations Catherine Brewton from Atlanta.

The songwriters on the panel discussed the process of writing, producing and performing hit songs. Each panelist shared stories on how their greatest hits came to be.

Perry is one of the most sought after names in the music business The singer/songwriter/producer and label owner has written and produced hits for Pink, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani and James Blunt.

Perry is known first as Interscope recording artist 4 Non Blondes, Perry’s mega-hit, “Bigger, Better, Faster, More,” sold seven million copies worldwide.
