Two prominent commentators from the left have now criticized the Obama administration for their response to the Gulf oil spill. Last night, Chris Matthews went on Jay Leno and said the President is acting like a "Vatican observer" to the trajedy. Matthews urged the President to take ownership of the relief effort even if it means taking blame along the way. Today James Carville struck a similar tone. Carville argued the administration was "naive" to trust BP to handle the operation.
Criticism of the Obama administration is not new. Earlier, conservative commentators like Rush Limbaugh also placed blame on the administration going as far as to call it "Obama's Katrina." That caused the Obama administration to release a detailed time line showing the actions they took within 24 hours of the initial explosion. In the end, much of the criticism from the right was dismissed after conservatives tried to Michael "heckuva job" Brown to attack the Obama administration response.
However, criticism from the left is new and something the administration should probably be more concerned with addressing. The President can hardly risk losing his base in the following two years of his presidency.
The problem for the President is that there is little he can do by most reports. Bill O' Reilly has actually expressed sympathy for the President saying, correctly, that the President can not just put on a diving suit to take care of the problem. The pressures at 5,000 feet are tremendous. There are only about seven manned vehicles in the world capable of going to that depth. Almost all of them are owned by foreign countries and none of them could likely seal up the leak even if they got to the site. Vessels designed to go that deep are designed for research or possibly submarine rescue, not for sealing up a massive oil leak.
As a result, experts are having to rely on robot submarines which are owned by oil companies. The government has no reason to develop this kind of equipment and expertise as they usually do not operate at these depths. On the other hand, the oil industry has had great incentive to develop this technology to drill for oil. The problem, which is all too evident now, is that oil companies developed an ability to drill at this depth without an accompanying ability to deal with such a disaster.
As a result, the Obama administration is left in difficult situation of pressuring BP to do all it can. If the government took over the operation it could actually set the effort back significantly unless the government found the power to confiscate BP's technology (something sure to be objected to by many). The Obama administration has pressured BP to be more open in releasing documents related to the spill and providing video of the actual leak. In addition, the EPA has ordered BP to stop using the more toxic chemical dispersant and find better alternatives.
Still, liberals want more as they see the oil leak spill thousands more barrels into the Gulf each day. Ultimately this will become a political problem for the President if the situation does not improve soon. Liberals may not confuse the President with God, but at times they expect him to have God-like powers.

Continuing my comment from above. A manufactured food crisis is one of a variety of ways in which the world's population will be reduced. I have been warning people for at least the past year that I see evidence of a coming manufactured crisis in the food supply. Now that the powers that be have fiddled this long and let the crisis get this bad, hurricanes have a good chance of bringing the oil inland and poisoning streams and lakes. Agriculture in parts of the southern U.S. will likely be severely damaged later this summer. In addition, late frost has destroyed a significant amount of the corn and soy bean crops in Indiana and 7.9 million people are facing starvation in Niger because the millet crop failed. That is what is taking place now and world leaders are about to meet in December to make another attempt to establish a global carbon tax. If this occurs it will devastate the U.S. economy. The currencies of the world are being phased out to make way for the one world currency.
After investigating the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, it has many signs of deliberate sabotage. First of all, the disaster just happened during the fish spawning season. Secondly, it just happened to occur during the spring of a year in which unusually high hurricane activity is expected. Remember what happened when Nero torched Rome? He fiddled until the disaster reached the desired level and then he blamed the crisis on the Christians. One of the standard methods for sealing ruptured oil wells is to plug them with rubber material which takes hours not days. Why has this method been avoided thus far in this debacle? All the while we deployed a massive 100 ton dome which scientists stated from the beginning would likely fail due to the formation of ice crystals. The powers that be have told us all along what their agenda is. The Georgia Guide Stone Monument states that the world's population must be reduced to below 500 million.
Infowar: Uhm...I guess that is one way of looking at it. I am going to leave it at that because I am guessing a rational debate will be a waste of both our time.
Is Obama responsible for anything in the past 18 months?
Say what? says: Is Obama responsible for anything in the past 18 months?
No. He is the most irresponsible president we've ever had.
Ryan Witt, actually a rational debate is based upon factual information. The Royal Commission Report of 1949 states that is was the agenda of the global elite to keep countries in the third world impoverished and allow the population of these countries to expand rapidly in order to destabilize the world economic system. Once this was accomplished they would systematically be eliminated. We already have good reason to believe the attacks on September 11, 2001 were an inside job along with the train bombings on 7-7-2005. There is good reason to believe these were false flag attacks. The question is if there was foul play involved in the sinking of the oil rig what do they intend to gain from this crisis. Remember the motto of the 33rd degree of Freemasonry is "order out of chaos." The power of occult secret societies extends to the highest branches of government. Research societies such as Bohemian Grove. People who have sworn themselves to the dark side do not think the way most people.
Woody Allen says Obama is a great leader and wished that Obama would be declared dictator.
It's about time! Where are the 'environmentalists'. You'd think they'd be upset about the federal government's non- response. (I mean besides stopping all drilling so we can't afford to drive our cars to our jobs 'if we're lucky enough to still have jobs').
BP & Obama is going to forget everything they have told the American people about Oil clean up. Obama is not strong enough to force anyone to do anything.... He is the WORST PRESIDENT EVER
