Thursday night, The Runaways premiered and Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning made an appearance to walk the red carpet. Kristen Stewart wore an elaborate, elegant dress. The ‘net buzz on The Runaways movie is hot because it just premiered and because Twilight fans want to see Kristen Stewart in something other than Twilight.
"This is so much fun," said Dakota Fanning at the premiere. Fanning portrays a 1970s teen in a sex, drugs and rock and roll theme in the movie. "It's crazy for a lot of people to finally see it. I mean, it was at Sundance, but it is just rewarding to be here."
Joan Jett also appeared at the movie premiere wearing black leather and tattoos. This is something that Kristen Stewart talks about in the video below. "She only had one at the time [our movie takes place]," Stewart explained. "And I have it. I have a little jet, beneath the waistline."
Other stars that attended last night’s premiere included Taylor Lautner, Michael Shannon, Scout Taylor-Compton.
Kristen plays Joan Jett in the movie and she said that Jett taught her a valuable lesson which was not to take everything so seriously.
"I don't know how much I learned about myself, so much as my capacity to not care," Stewart said. "She's really good at that, in a way that's compassionate. It's not that she doesn't care — she just is who she is. And I know that's something most people aspire to be, but she really is."
