Last night Jon Stewart used his show to take on conservative attacks on the Obama administration regarding the decision to have Khalid Sheikh Mohammed tried in New York City. Conservatives have argued that the terrorists will somehow be set free or that they will use their incarceration to spread terrorist ideology. Stewart suggests that the fears are overblown and that putting the men on trail in the U.S. actually helps us to live up to "our highest ideals."
As the Stewart clip demonstrates many legal scholars believe there is virtually no chance that any of the men will be set free with the evidence the government has collected. Geraldo Rivera (who Stewart calls the new voice of reason on Fox News) subscribed to this argument when he recently confronted Fox News hosts over their hysteria regarding the trials.

Many like Jon Stewart still have the Obamalove blinders on. And most still see things only from a Western perspective.
A civilian show trial of KSM cuts no blame-Bush PR ice in the Muslim world. US military involvement in Iraq continues while Afghanistan escalates and Pakistan is further destabilized. Secondly, also while Obama -- not Bush -- is president, the Israelis continue to build new settlements in the West Bank -- 900 new ones.
Radical Muslim disappointment with Obama, such as played out by Nidal Malik Hasan domestically, continues to grow and will be cultivated for exploitment. While security concerns center on NYC, major metropolitan centers across the US each now have an elevated risk of attack.
The next Islamic terrorist act will make things more personal to Obama. Chicago -- not NYC again -- now has the biggest bullseye painted on it as part of the asymmetrical warfare against continuing US war mongering/profiteering under Obama.
Address that Stewart.
