Video: Jon Stewart on Obama, 'No public option? We still get to kill old people though right?'

Jon Stewart expressed the frustration of many a liberal at the apparent abandonment of the public option by the Obama administration.  As I have noted earlier the administration along with Senate Democrats seem to be waving the white flag before even trying to put up a fight for the issue.

In the video below Stewart illustrates the relative weakness of the Democrats in staying consistent and forceful in their message.  Particularly when you compare the Obama administration's health care push with the Bush team's Iraq War push.  As Stewart put it, the Bush administration was able to push through a controversial invasion of Iraq but the Obama administration can not even convince Americans to accept something they need.  Below are some of the quotes from the Stewart clip along with the video itself.

"Remember the Bush team?  Little bit of discipline, little bit of repetition.  They sold us a war nobody wanted and nobody needed.

Those guys could see ice cubes to eskimos.  The Democrats, I don't even think they could sell Eskimos sh*t they need...insulation, heating apparatus."

Yes we can, unless you don't think we should then we'll do something different how the h*ll do I know?"
