Dennis Rodman has upset the White House, annoyed most of America and shocked the rest of the world by showing up in North Korea and calling Kim Jong Un a friend. Trying to explain his actions, the former NBA basketball star has taken on several interviews to explain his decision. Anyone watching the interview felt that Rodman was hard to understand. Thanks to a spoof on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night, there is hope. The late night talk show host gave fans a word-by-word discussion on what the NBA star was saying and frankly it was hysterical.
“I think we should use their friendship to our advantage,” said Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! starting off the comedy bit. While the star explained the response of the two meeting, Jimmy also offered to translate for people who had trouble understanding Roadman. “I happen to speak fluent Rodman so I will break it down for you.”
Complete with a chalkboard and lots of words, Jimmy Kimmel had his work cut out for him. After watching the clip, the audience got to hear Kimmel translate. As the first clip seemed easy to get through, the second clip was impossible as Dennis Rodman didn't really talk in sentences, and sometimes repeated himself.
While some comedic skits are funny, it was Jimmy Kimmel who helped fans read the words that made the moment laugh out loud. Even with all the words on a chalkboard, it was pretty obvious the statements made about the North Korean trip by the basketball star were hard to grasp.
