Jersey Shore's "The Situation" (aka Mike) is shown 24/7 on the workout train in MTV's hit TV series and he gives one piece of advice for those in waiting: "Get that protein in your diet!"

"We do our thing in the gym and workout hard. We take it seriously," says Mike "The Situation" in the most recent episode of Jersey Shore.

"I could sell t-shirts standing still," he says. "Everybody loves me - Babies, moms, dogs...cougars! I have unbelievable mass appeal."

And that "appeal" he refers to is based on a high-protein diet.

"[We] make sure that we have certain food afterwards [after workouts]," says Mike. Adding his primo workout rule, "I gotta get back to the house and have a protein bar."

For those wishing to emulate "The Situation"? "If you wanna look somewhat like 'The Situation', which is definitely gonna' be pretty hard," Mike says. "You need to get that protein in your diet."

    Ok. But how did he do it. It's not just about the protein. It's the combination of muscle contractions, proper diet, nutrition, consuming plenty of water and rest. Let's take muscle contractions, let's say for the abs, which he is pointing to. You can get muscle contractions the old fashion way doing sit ups, crunches, etc. or you can get them using something like the Contour Ab Belt. ( http://www.thecontour.com ). An ab belt is good for those that can't do those types of exercises - like people that have had back surgery. You can still get the muscle contractions through EMS. But then you still need to change habits with proper nutrition, drinking plenty of water and getting enough rest.
