Video: Jennifer Hudson sings with Sandy Hook school chorus at Super Bowl

Jennifer Hudson set the tone for the Super Bowl Sunday celebration in New Orleans. Joining the Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus during a pregame show routine, the live performance was a beautiful rendition of America the Beautiful. While the kids seemed to be very excited about the opportunity, it was Jennifer Hudson who really gave America a dose of patriotic love.

“I'm blessed & honored to be singing ‘America The Beautiful’ with Sandy Hook elementary school chorus at the Super Bowl Sunday,” tweeted Jennifer Hudson from her official Twitter account. She isn’t the only one excited about the performance as the fans were too.

With such an amazing vocal talent and plenty of gusto, there isn’t any doubt the pairing of Jennifer Hudson with the chorus was the perfect choice. From the moment of the acts stepped on stage, it was very moving as the children represented the town of the tragic shooting where 20 children died in Newtown, Connecticut.
