James Durbin performed at the Autism Speaks' Third Annual Blue Jean Ball, recently in Hollywood. Durbin placed in the Top 4 on Season 10 of American Idol, has open shared his challenges of living with Asperger's and Tourette's.
Also performing was Dave Grohl, the lead vocalist, guitarist, and main songwriter for the Foo Fighters, Rick Springfield, best known for hit song "Jessie's Girl", Oscar® and Grammy®-winning artist Ryan Bingham who recently wrote the theme song for the TV show 'The Bridge' and The White Buffalo singer/songwriter Jake Smith.
The ball honored Chuck Saftler, President of Program Strategy and Chief Operating Officer of FX Networks, and Autism Speaks Board of Directors' Member. Television personality Maria Menounos and Emmy® Award-winning Actor Michael Chiklis hosted the event.
The Autism Speaks Blue Jean Ball is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for innovative autism research and resources for individuals and families affected by the disorder.
