"American Idol" is in full swing for Season 13. The show recently named their Top 13 finalists in their final night of “Rush Week." The contestants and judges celebrated at a party for the finalists after the show. LA Music Examiner attended the Finalist Party and chatted with judge Harry Connick Jr. about his thoughts on the show and contestants so far.
Connick is a first time judge on the show after appearing on the show in the past as a mentor.
During the auditions and Hollywood week, he was called Harsh Harry by the contestants and viewers of the show.
"American Idol" airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on Fox. This week the Top 11 contestants will be performing Songs from The Cinema.
The Top 11 finalists are Ben Briley, C.J. Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, MK Nobilette, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, Malaya Watson and Sam Woolf.
Connick will also perform live on the results show on Thursday, March 13.
