Green Day took some time off, but it appears their hiatus is over. The band was part of the 2013 South by Southwest festival on Friday night and rocked the night away in Austin. Lead once again by front man Billie Joe Armstrong, the two-hour performance had fans dancing, singing and moving their arms in what was a fun evening performance.
It was the first time rocker Billie Joe Armstrong, returned to the stage since the artist sought treatment in rehab for prescription drug and alcohol abuse. Being that the band was planning to hit the road later this month after canceling a slew of dates, all eyes were on the stage to see how the guys came together once again.
Watching the high energy of the band along with the fans response, it’s safe to say that Green Day will be one of the biggest concert shows in 2013. With lots of great music and plenty of energy, the band has an infectious quality that brings out the best in the music and gives the fans a chance to relax while enjoying the music.
