This week Glenn Beck has promised to "close the case" on the "truth" he has brought to his audience over the last year. In reality Beck seems to be providing corrections for all his misquotes, distortions, and outright lies in 2009. Beck has promised to devote the entire week to his "close the case" series and I have promised to document all his corrections. Part one can be seen here.
Here are the corrections Beck made yesterday regarding his earlier coverage.
Correction #1: Beck renounces his previous support for the Saul-Alinksky philosophy.
Beck spent much of the show arguing that the Obama administration was purposefully creating an economic downfall so that they could later pass a progressive agenda. The number of assumptions which must be accepted in order to believe Beck's theory are too numerous to list here. Regardless it is good to see Beck reverse his support of the Saul-Alinksky theory from earlier that same day.
Beck actually wished for another Great Depression on his radio show yesterday. Beck's theory is that the depression would actually be good for the country in that it would help the "Republic to be restored." Beck reasoning follows the exact same reasoning of the Saul-Alinsky philosophy in asking for a crisis in order to bring about the kind of "transformative change" that you wish to adopt.
Thankfully on his television show hours later Beck reversed his position and condemned the Saul-Alinsky philosophy (at least when Democrats do it).
Correction #2: Beck renounces his previous support for bailouts.
Beck also focuses on government spending and bailouts during his show. His argument was that the U.S. is simply spending too much money and the bailout packages only serve to worsen the crisis. This was a nice correction from Beck's previous position. When the bailouts were first being considered by Congress Beck not only supported their passage but urged Congress to give out even more money. Beck changed his mind days later and has been changing his mind on the issue ever since.

You are either an idiot or have not watched Glenn's show. The only "corrections" he's made is to the disinformation and socialist propaganda being put out by communist scumbags like you. While I really don't want to see my beloved country immersed in civil war, I cannot say with honesty that I will not enjoy removing communist dna from our gene pool such as you.

I used to write about Glenn Beck and the other fools on cable news but I gave it up after reading the comments by people like "Spook."
It's unbelievable the level outright ignorance that permeates this world of Glenn Beck and the Teabaggers. They don't understand even the basics of intellectual honest arguments and they're proud of it.
I don't like to make comparisons with Nazis but these pple are sheep.
Not only that, but they disturbingly want to kill people who disagree with them. This country is approaching an outright civil war and these Beck jerks are going to kill a lot of people.
My plan is to be living in another country before that happens. If Americans want to be ignorant morons who think people like Beck are speaking the Truth, go ahead. I used to care, but I just don't anymore.

OK "Examiner Reader" if you someone is critiquing Glenn Beck they have to watch his show. I'm assuming that Ryan doesn't watch the show because he thinks Beck is cool.

Glenn finally solved the case of Obama vs the United States of America. He said it was "case closed"! Obama is trying to destroy the economy using ACORN and overloading the system by working with other progressives like John McCain and George Bush to give away 700 billion to the investment bankers a year ago before he got into office and also. Its so logical it makes my head hurt. Did I mention SEIU and Fema Camps?
Ryan: As you pointed out in earlier Ryan Witt reports that yes Glenn Beck was right on what turned out to be some really major news stories. So what are you trying to say here? That yes GB was right almost all the time but he still has to put his pants on one leg at a time? This stuff is Media Matters minutiae. Are you saying that these below the noise level corrections are somehow fungible to some underlying right for progressives to subjugate our rights and liberties as free people into subservience to a much larger big government? Or is it that because he at one time thought the bailout was acceptable until he found out that it was all a ruse to collapse the government that you reject his experience as a time based order of sequence? First government lies; he believes. Then after that he reads Cloward and Piven then the epiphany. Every person's experience based knowledge will decompose to the effects of new found ideas.

Alinsky is a 'hero of the left' according to Chris 'tingle up my leg' Matthews.
Glenn wears converse sneakers so its OK if some of the stuff be says sounds crazy. He was probably just joking. He has a great sense of humor too you know. It doesn't all need to make sense.
Glenn was being metaphorical. That's a concept not easily understood by most people that just hate your guts for no reason. This is progressive BS. First of all progressives have this inborn need to formulate a program for the general population to make them share scarcity; that is unless your Glenn Beck saying it. At that point they Jump The Shark.
The depression GB refers to is one where those that desire liberty would do better bursting the bubble earlier at a point that is recoverable rather than wait until the progressives take us past the point of ruin. As you know America recovered from the depression AFTER FDR passed away. Beck says WE should be willing to sacrifice. Progressives want YOU to sacrifice.
He also wants to make the point that if you love liberty then please be willing to sacrifice if that is what it takes to put us back on to a positive forward path like they did in 1776. So, rather than wait until progressives bring everyone to ruin let's git er done now.
