UPDATE: Glenn Beck attempts to justify his comment that President Obama is a racist.
Glenn Beck made some of his most unfounded and controversial statements ever today on Fox and Friends. Glenn Beck is certainly known for making bold assertions with no support so he must be working overtime now to really go over the top. You can watch the interview of Beck below which includes the following quotes concerning President Obama:
He has a deep seated hatred for white people or the white culture"
I'm not saying he doesn't like white people."
This guy is a racist."
First, as you can see above Beck contradicts himself within the tiny timeframe of two minutes. Beck essentially says "Obama hates white people but I am not saying he doesn't like white people." Huh?
Secondly, Beck would have to point me to where he can prove the so called racist attitudes of President Obama. If anyone has injected race into the Henry Louis Gates Jr. arrest and even into health care reform it is Beck. It is Beck who has claimed health care reform is all about making reparations to blacks and empowering them to takeover the country. In all the talk about health care reform I can not find President Obama referring to race but Beck connects race and health care reform in many of his comments.
Beck tries to inject race into nearly every debate for many reasons. First, he must know the facts are not on his side so he must appeal to emotion and racism instead. Second, Beck knows much of his audience is white and he plays on the deep seeded racism some of them have by scaring them with claims Obama is trying to take away their grip on power. American history is littered with ugly incidents in which the white population reacts strongly in opposition to any perceived threat on its power. During the period of American history with slavery whites would often punish slaves after an attempted revolt to "teach them a lesson" so that they would not rise up again. Beck might not know anything of this ugly episode in American history but he plays upon that same basic emotion in his comments below.

It is a social construct utilized by racists (like yourself) to justify the subjugation of non-dominant groups (native americans, blacks, latinos etc). Nice try, but no one is buying your garbage!

However, in order to prove your theory, the test results must be tampered tampered with. Then you wrote...If anyone has injected race into the Henry Louis Gates Jr. arrest...it is Beck. Did you not hear Obama mention race in his press conference. Remember this...the guy who "befriended" the terrorists in the original "Die Hard" met with an untimely death. In other words, you may think you are on the winning team but as soon as your "usefulness" wears off, you are no longer any use to those in power! Don't get yourself thrown under the bus like Gates did!

Marc, not quite... Beck is prob right. Listening to Rev Wright for almost 20yrs, how could you not be? You mean to tell me the President sat in that pew and disagreed in disgust for that long? Don't think so...

I think all the fat is killing your brain cells. You will resort to ANYTHING to degrade the reputation of the President. If it wasn't Reverend Wright, you'd find something else. Just admit to yourself that you're an ignorant racist and save precious air time for someone with a moral compass.

Umm, DC Comics, just for the record, that "question" that you refer to is a rhetorical question, i.e., it's a statement in the form of a question (in case you don't know what rhetorical means). Beck is questioning whether the president hates white people or white culture. There is no ambiguity about his meaning that the president hates whites in some capacity. And he does go on to contaradict himself in saying "This guy is a racist...(pause)...I don't think he doesn't like white people." What?! Glenn Beck has become such a bore. He's a propagandist clown and nothing more. It's degrading to even bother arguing about him, but I couldn't abide Mr. Comic's blatantly untrue and unrefuted defense of his "question".
Which means we all need to go back where we came from, huh Marc? Means you would have to find that rock from under which you crawled and call it home again.
