While I have often criticized Glenn Beck he is making more and more sense everyday as today on his radio show (which can be listened to below) he urged Birthers to drop the birth certificate debate and move on to other issues. It is a bold move for Beck because many of his listeners probably support the Birther movement. Beck probably senses, as I have, that the issue is actually hurting the conservative movement by making conservatives appear out of the mainstream. Here are some of the significant quotes from the Beck segment.
(on the Birther theory) Let's just say it was true, which I don't think it is."

I think glenn is wrong this time. this controversy won't tear this country apart.
But, this resolution of this controversy will lead to stiking to the constitution of this country.
The Constitution is itself america. America without constitution is not a america. Isn't this what glenn are always saying?
The whole problem began when the obama campaign and the media perfectly hided the truth. - They didn't care wether they abide by the constitution or not.
To keep upholding the constitution is the most important thing to do. If glenn don't think this way, why have you always mentioned Founding faters?
It only appears as if it's out of the mainstream because the DNC has convinced you of that, more than half of America thinks he should release his birth certificate because of Constitutional requirements.
All of everyone elses' points would be moot if he was not a natural born citizen.
Beck has merely been warned as has O'Reilly, and all other Fox news Reporters by Murdoch, not to persue this
