Video gets you ready for Epcot Flower and Garden Festival: Food, blooms and more

The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival at Walt Disney World officially starts on March 6 and brings some all-new experiences this year. Click the video toward the bottom of this article to see some of the mouthwatering menu items available at the festival for the first time ever.

Normally the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is the place to please your palate, but this year, spring brings a variety of food items and beverages to various spots around World Showcase. Pack your appetite along with your camera to fully appreciate the event this year.

In the video, you'll hear from Epcot Executive Chef Jens Dahlmann as he talks about the new culinary additions. They're not a big stretch for the festival, since it's all about fresh, growing gardens.

Horticulture Manager Eric Darden also talks about the festival, including a new twist that allows guests to enjoy the offerings late into the night. The kids can play in lighted playgrounds, and most of the Epcot topiaries feature night-time lighting for the first time ever.

Even if the temperatures are cold, you'll still feel spring in the air when you encounter the cheerful, colorful flowers and topiaries at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. This year, it's not just a precursor to summer, but also a little tease for the next big event, when the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival comes in the fall.
