Singer-songwriter Linda Perry hosted "An Evening with Women," the annual fundraising event for the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center over the weekend.

Highlights of the night included the ABC Family’s freshman series “The Fosters” receiving a special award for its realistic portrayal of a lesbian couple struggling like any other couple, trying to raise a blended family of children, including a number of foster children.

All proceeds from the event benefited the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s services for women and girls and several items were auctioned off, including Linda Perry's personal piano signed by such stars as Jennifer Lopez and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Perry and her iconic 80s rock band 4 Non Blondes performed a concert set, marking their first appearance together in over twenty years. The band song their #1 hit song, “What’s Up?”

One of the celebrities who attended the event was actress and director Kimberly McCullough, who is best known for her portrayal of Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake on ABC's “General Hospital.”

Daytime TV Examiner spoke with Kimberly at the event and asked her about her long standing charity work, her new profession as a director and wondered if her character, Robin Scorpio Drake would return to "General Hospital" any time soon. When last seen, Robin had left her family and her hometown to save close friend Jason Morgan who is believed to be dead.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays on ABC. Episodes of "Shake It Up" air weekly on The Disney Channel.
