What is this all about? Video Games Live is an immersive concert event featuring music from the most popular video games of all time. The show comes to Jacksonville’s Times-Union Center’s Moran Theater for one performance only! Special events surround Video Games Live, including pre-show activities (costume contest, Guitar Hero competition, and prize give-a-ways) in the lobby starting at 6:15 p.m. There is also a post-show “Meet-and-Greet” with top game composers and designers. Pre- and post-show events are open to all ticket holders.

Video Games Live takes the gaming experience light years beyond with a “captivating, proudly bombastic show” (The New York Times) that combines video game music masterfully performed by the local Craig Turley Orchestras, LLC and Providence School Concert Choir with the explosive energy of a rock concert! Featuring music from Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Warcraft, Halo, Kingdom Hearts, Sonic, Pokemon, and Skyrim, Video Games Live includes Guitar Hero and Super Smash Bros competitions, with the winners appearing on stage to perform with the symphony!

Video Games Live was created by industry legend, composer Tommy Tallarico. The multimedia concert introduces new audiences—families, video game enthusiasts and non-gamers—to the symphonic experience with exclusive video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, well-known Internet solo performers, electronic percussion, live action, and interactive segments.

The “ingenious and fantastic” (Los Angeles Times) show spotlights the music that enhances the most gripping video game moments—rescuing the princess, winning the boss fight, saving the galaxy from aliens or defeating the undead—with performances from recent blockbusters and iconic classics. Praise for the immersive concerts is abundant, with Video Games Live being heralded as a “beautiful performance” (USA Today), “simply breathtaking” (IGN.com), “Thrilling!” writes (The London Times) and “…a feast for the eyes and ears” (Seattle Times).

Video Games Live has the power and emotion of a symphony orchestra mixed with the excitement and energy of a rock concert. It also has the technology, fun, and interactivity of a video game, all completely synchronized to amazing cutting-edge video screen visuals, state-of-the-art lighting, special effects, and special on-stage interactive segments with the audience.
