Video Games Live is coming to PBS!

For all of you out there who love video game music but can't find the time or money to go see Video Games Live at a venue near you, now you can watch it on TV. On July 30th(check local listings), PBS will premiere a special performance of Video Games Live, a concert celebrating all the wonderful music heard in our favorite video games. PBS has posted a VIDEO to preview this upcoming event. The founder of V.G.L., Tommy Tallarico, is excited with the response from kids of all ages.

"We are introducing a whole new generation to the music of a symphony orchestra. Never before in history have kids been dragging their parents to watch a symphony." -Tommy Tallarico

The PBS special was filmed in New Orleans last April and features the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, a 34-person chorus, and a rock band featuring Tallarico on guitar. The music that will be preformed includes classics such as: Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Halo, Final Fantasy, and Castlevania. Other favorites include: World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Crono Cross, God of War, and Civilization IV. More information and show times can be found at: PBS.
