The Legend of Zelda franchise is going to be having another game added to its collection. It is known as Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. So far, there has not been a game created for the Wii U as far as a Zelda game but it is bound to happen. This game was at one point considered to be A Link to the Past 2 meaning it would have been a sequel. Perhaps it is but only time will tell.
Graphics for the game look to be impressive. While it has never been a sticking point for Nintendo to put all the efforts into the graphics, they do look impressive to say the least. It won’t be the main factor in determining how well the game will do but it may play a slight role.
It is going to be coming out for the Nintendo 3DS. The style of play is supposed to be similar to that of A Link to the Past. From that standpoint, it looks to be very interesting to say the least. There will be two different worlds. Much like A Link to the Past had a dark world, the game appears to have one as well.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is going to have a place in the Legend of Zelda timeline. It is not likely going to be in the Adult Link timeline as the last one created for it had to be Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Thanks to Hyrule Historia, there is a timeline that Nintendo had created. Could it change? It is very possible. With each new Zelda game, it’s going to be quite interesting on where it will be placed.
The release is supposed to be in 2013 but there is always a chance that there could be delays. One of the factors would have to be the programming. That would mean putting the time into it. Despite multiple people working on it, there could always be bugs but they can be reduced. Another could be the testing on how well it comes across. For the gamer, it may not matter to them because they are not doing the technical work and just want to play the game.
Final thoughts on it are that it looks like it can be another hit for the Legend of Zelda franchise. It’s amazing that they’ve been around so long and have not shown any signs of really slowing down. At least, that is the impression that has been given over the years.
