As seen in an update from www.HustleBoss.com on Friday, Sept. 13, WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and his opponent, pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather, both made weight ahead of their forthcoming showdown.
Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KO’s) hit the scale first, as he hit the contracted 152-pound catch weight limit right on the head.
Moments later, Mayweather (44-0, 26 KO’s) would hit the scales weighing 150 and one half pounds.
Following their weigh-in, the two men stood face to face, as an animated Mayweather attempted to taunt Alvarez to no avail.
Mayweather vs. Alvarez takes place later tonight from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be televised by Showtime pay per view.
So far, several boxing fans and insiders seem to be pointing towards a Mayweather victory given his vast experience, ring acumen, and overall ability.
The buzz throughout the MGM Grand has been pretty noteworthy, as this event has garnered tremendous attention both from hardcore followers and mainstream viewers.
Expect more updates from fight week in Las Vegas in the coming hours.
