Video: Flight 253 has another threat on Sunday, officials say incident is non-serious. Today, as Northwest flight 253 prepared to take off from Detroit airport, the pilots received a call that they had a verbally disruptive passenger aboard. The flight arrived at the Detroit airport at 12:34 pm Sunday.
After an investigation, federal officials have now deemed that incident as non-serious. This is the same Northwest flight 253 that had the terrorist attack on Christmas Day.
The disruptive passenger spent an hour in the bathroom and was upset when questioned by the crew, government officials stated. Law enforcement agents questioned the man Sunday.
After landing the plane was taken a distance from the terminal and surrounded by emergency vehicles immediately. 257 passengers were aboard, and left the aircraft about an hour later.
