Elton John hasn’t performed with Ed Sheeran before, but the fans are sure glad he decided to on Sunday night. A special collaboration at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards held in downtown Los Angeles, the fans reaped the benefits when the two talented entertainers came together in one of the best segments of the evening. Singing A Team, the current hit of Ed Sheeran, the accomplished entertainers kept the performance simple with a guitar and piano while belting out the hit.
Perhaps what was so flawlessly amazing about the moment was the chance to see two talented entertainers take the stage from entirely different generations. Brought together by their love of music (and the Grammys of course) the chance to hear a one-of-a-kind performance was splendid.
While Ed Sheeran is set to hit the road with Taylor Swift over the summer, before he left the Grammys he was honored by being nominated for Song of the Year. While the nomination was a surprise for the artist, it won’t be surprising if he returns in 2014 as he is so talented.
