Elisabeth Hasselbeck lost her cool on Tuesday morning's episode of The View as the coven delved into a "Hot Topics" discussion of the recent announcement that the U.S. Justice Department is search for an alternative location to New York City for the 9/11 terror suspects' trials to take place.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, a vocal supporter of former President George W. Bush, launched into a feverish tirade about how it had taken President Obama "too long" to make the decision. Hasselbeck screamed her Fox News talking points like she was being beaten with a hot poker and neared hysteria when co-host Joy Behar told her to "calm down".

It really did look like Elisabeth Hasselbeck's head was going to explode for a minute there, but instead she responded with her cranium (physically) intact: "Don't tell me to calm down! Did you lose anyone? Because, I did!"

The discussion was so volatile that producers of The Joy Behar Show decided to try to harness some of the heat of Behar and Hasselbeck's conflict for their own broadcast Tuesday night. Hasselbeck was booked on HLN's The Joy Behar Show after the morning's The View drama went down. Behar's producers have to be hoping they can milk some more venom from the conservative co-host to spike their ratings.

The View edited the clip of the Hot Topics 9/11 trial discussion for their "ViewTube" online archive, but some of the discussion can be seen in the clip below.

Elisabeth is so lucky to have lost somebody on 9/11. Now she has a great card to play.

Are there no Libertarian women? Why do we have to be subjected to the phony right/left paradigm? There would be more dignity if Behar and Hasselback mud wrestled for our amusement.
