VIDEO: Courteney Cox & Josh Hopkins preview ‘Cougar Town’s’ road to the altar

As Courteney Cox has said, she was on a "little" show once where they did the whole “Will they/Won’t they” thing, and it was great for its time, but she is thrilled that Bill Lawrence is more modern-thinking these days. And when Cougar Town returns to ABC this winter, we will see just how far Grayson and Jules have come with a “fairy-tale like” proposal.

“It was perfect,” Cox said of the moment for her character. “I forgot I was in it and was just like ‘Wow, those characters, they love each other!’

The third season, therefore, will focus on Grayson and Jules adjusting to life as a betrothed couple and dealing with all of the things after the “Will they or won’t they” moments-- including which one of them will have to sell their house and move in with the other.

“Obviously it’s nice that they love each other, and they’ve come to this point, but now it’s real life issues!” Josh Hopkins admitted. “There’s a lot of stuff they still have to work out, and so now we have a marriage counselor that’s played by Nicole Sullivan.”

One of those issues will, of course, have to be the baby fever Grayson seemed to have last year. It seemed after their evening babysitting young Stan that Jules still wasn’t so keen on having another baby, and this season that will explode in a new way when everyone realizes just what a little terror Stan has become.

“There may be a stand-off between Jules and Stan,” Christa Miller teased. “I want him to do so something in the wedding that she really has no interest in…I want him to be the ring-bearer.”

If Stan doesn’t shape up soon, though, we have a feeling that honor might go to Dog Travis instead…

“We do deal with that [kids] issue,” Cox was coy. “There’s a surprise that kind of puts it on the back-burner because you kind of feel satisfied for the moment.”
