According to a report from TMZ on Dec 30, 2012, Charlie Sheen was caught on camera in a homophobic slur. He was attending the opening of rooftop bar at a seaside hotel in Mexico Friday night. Charlie also co-owns the bar.

TMZ reported that the former "Two and a Half Men" star had hosted the party to celebrate the opening of his bar at El Ganzo Hotel in Cabo. Watch video.

Charlie hosted several musical acts and was seen kissing girls, shaking hands and interacting with everyone. All was fun until he hurled a homophobic slur at the audience.

While addressing the audience, he yelled "Lying bunch of f**got a**holes". Later clarifying his slur, he explained to TMZ that he meant no ill will and intended to hurt no one and he apologized for offending anyone. He added that he meant to say maggot but he had a lisp.

Charlie Sheen was fired last year from the long-running hit comedy show "Two and a Half Men".

He had criticised the show's co-creator, Warner Bros., and CBS in an interview which led to his exit. Charlie now stars in the FX comedy "Anger Management."
