Video: Captain Janks pranks East Coast earthquake coverage

Howard Stern Show prankmaster Captain Janks was at it again on Tuesday, duping the call screeners at a local DC TV station after the 5.9 earthquake that shook the northeast coast of the US.

Posing as "Mark Mercer" (the real name of the man behind HSS archive site MarksFriggin.com) from "Virginia Emergency Management," Janks told a reporter live on air that the aftershocks following yesterday's quake could be as strong as the earthquake itself. He then added that he believed the earthquake was set off by "a loud fart by Howard Stern".

Janks wasn't the only Howard Stern Show pal getting in on the post-earthquake fun. Lonnie Hanover from Rick's Cabaret did an emergency check-in with the NYC location's movers and shakers to make sure everything was intact.

Rick's girl Alexandra gave this harrowing account of the quake: "I was in the middle of doing a lap dance for a Wall Street guy in his suit and tie. I think I felt something move, but I'm not sure."

Janks later called the station back to file a complaint about his first call.
