The swearing in ceremony on the steps on the U.S. Capitol had a very special moment on Monday morning. There were three famous faces that everyone recognized performing with Beyoncé, James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson taking turns for traditional songs. Another act, while not a solo performer, gave an amazing performance of Battle Hymn Of The Republic.
The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir obviously took their performance extremely serious as they energetically performed the American song. While many citizens might not have known the exact title of the music, it was a song that everyone immediately recognized as it is etched into the minds of people around the world.
While the presidential inauguration ceremony had many elements, the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir gave the citizens watching a chance to reflect on the patriotic nature of the moment. As this is the 44th president that has taken the job, it’s obvious that the moment was history in the making.
