Brittany Murphy's death was shocking news for pal celebs and fans but to those close to the 32-year-old actress, Murphy was known to be "very ill" and vomiting in the days before her death.
Husband and screenwriter Simon Monjack asked the stars' body not to be autopsied, but LA County Coroner Ed Winter says "other issues" he can't talk about are reason enough to investigate.
"The cause of death at this time appears to be natural. We do understand that she had a bit of a medical history and we’re looking into all aspects of that," he said in a video interview Sunday. Adding, "There are some other issues….which I can’t get into at this time.”
Those "other issues" may have had something to do with reports of the actress being ill and sick prior to her death.

According to reports from TMZ, Murphy was "sick and vomiting for several days before her death" on Sunday of cardiac arrest. It was also known Murphy's death may have been caused by an underlying chronic condition. The mother of the 32-year-old actress told paramedics that her daughter suffered from Type 2 diabetes - Also a possible explanation for Murphy's notably stick-thin figure.
Sources close to the Clueless actress told TMZ she had "been ill" for several days leading up to her death with what was described as flu-like symptoms. Sources also added she was taking prescription medications to treat the symptoms of her illness - Providing reason for the mulltiple prescription meds found in the home.
While no illegal drugs were found, LA County law enforcement officers noted Murphy was most likely vomiting in the bathroom where she collapsed. The autopsy is set to be down this week.
