On Saturday in a college football game, Florida Gators Brandon Spikes was suspended for the first half of Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt when he attempted to gouge the eyes of Georgia’s Washaun Ealey (see video below).
Florida Coach Meyer said Spikes was trying to get back at him after his eye was poked earlier in the game. The school and the coach said that the half game suspension was sufficient for his act, but after viewing the video, the general public is outraged. Comments left on Facebook, Twitter and CNN HLN live state that if this happened on the street, the police would be all over it and arrest him. The Insider MD Sports website shows several comments from outraged fans, to view the comments click here.
