The Grammy Museum held its first-ever Architects of Sound Awards benefit gala dinner and concert at the Club Nokia at LA Live. The awards which was hosted by Randy Jackson, honored Motown founder Berry Gordy and Grammy winner Smokey Robinson. Grammy winners Boyz II Men and Kelly Rowland performed at the concert.

Proceeds from the benefit gala dinner and concert will provide support for the Museum. The museum has been educational and interactive to engage both children and adults in the power of music through exhibits, educational programs, live performances and more.

Honoring the contributions to the Motown genre, Gordy received the Architect of Sound: Vision Award and Robinson received the Architect of Sound: Artist Award. Both Gordy and Robinson have been instrumental in shaping the Motown legacy.
