Jeremy Jarvis, 13 made a public statement Tuesday and apologized to Michael Brewer. Michael Brewer was set on fire in October by a group of bullies from his school, and Jeremy Jarvis witnessed it. Jeremy Jarvis was arrested after the attack and spent 30 days in juvenile detention, but formal charges have yet to be brought against him.
Jeremy Jarvis’s older brother Denver, 15 was charged with attempted second degree murder for the attack, and is currently in jail.
Jeremy Jarvis read a quick statement that he wrote Monday, “I want to read something I wrote last night. I want to express my deepest sympathy to Mikey and his family. I will pray for Mikey to grow stronger every day and for Mikey's speedy recovery. I want to tell my brother D.C. I love and miss him. I just hope and pray we all get through this." See video below for his statement and questions his attorney answered after the statement was read.

The kid did NOT apologize. Watch the video!
How offensive, this young man did not apologize. This was a stunt orchestrated by his lawyer. The word apology or sorry was not included in his so called apology, i wish the media would stop calling it that. That letter was written for him, that is not the words of a 13 year old. Sorry , guilty, all 5 of them , GUILTY!
"Sorry , guilty, all 5 of them , GUILTY!"
This is the attitude that causes us to have one of the poorest legal systems in the developed world. It only takes one person to commit this crime, but you *assume* that anyone who was nearby must be guilty.
I can't stand this Nancy Grace-style assumption of guilt that permeates the American psyche.
