Video: Bloomberg lists Tiger Woods as Most Powerful Athlete. Wednesday, the Bloomberg Business Week released the list of the most powerful athletes in the world, and Tiger Woods was ranks as number one for 2010. The magazine said that Woods would have held the top spot even if the Woods scandal happened earlier in the year.
The list is based on performance, influence, trustworthiness, and sponsors, according to a CNN report. Bloomberg reported that Woods made $92 million in endorsements before being dropped by many sponsors later in the year.
In second place, LeBron James from the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, and third place went to golfer Phil Mickelson.
The Today Show ran a story last week about Tiger Woods and how the scandal has changed his life. They spoke with sex addiction experts about sex addiction and what that would mean to Woods and his wife, Elin. To watch the video of the segment, click here.

Tiger Woods has had three knee surgeries in Park City, Utah and the last one on April 15, 2008, after which he took an extended period of time off from playing golf. He was determined to play in the US Open and win...which he did on June 14, 2008, much to everyone's amazement less than two months after his knee surgery. He was in pain during the US Open, as shown in this Associated Press photo. After the US Open, Tiger Woods took additional time off to let his knee heal.
