Beyoncé might be getting a little annoyed with all the chatter about how she didn't sing the national anthem at Obama’s inauguration. Making sure everyone heard her perform live on Thursday, she made the media stand as she sang. The decision had everyone chuckling as rarely does a press conference start out with such an amazing vocal presentation. Discussing the lip-syncing situation with the world, Beyoncé hoped to put the rumors to rest.
"I am a perfectionist," said Beyoncé about the situation. "And one thing about me is I practice till my feet bleed. I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. It was a live television show... Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check... I did not feel comfortable singing live."
The majority of her questions after the performance surrounded the controversy of her previous performance, but Beyoncé didn't back down. Suggesting she was proud of the moment, the artist felt it was necessary to perform even though she didn't really sing for the President.
Take a look at Beyoncé performing the national anthem at the press conference. Beyoncé did promise to sing live at the Super Bowl, so expect to hear more of her beautiful voice without the prerecorded track.
