Video: Beating Victim's Supporters Protest @ SEIU's St. Louis Headquarters

I cant' get Kenneth Gladney off my mind. Last Thursday, Mr. Gladney (an African American conservative) was assaulted by three members of the Service Employees International Union outside of St. Louis Congressman Russ Carnahan's (D-MO) recent health care town hall. What did Kenneth do to deserve a beat down from three union thugs? He was simply minding his own business while selling "Don't tread on me" flags outside of the event.

Last Saturday, I met Kenneth at a rally in his honor at the local SEIU headquarters. I found him a very humble and soft spoken young man who was truly overwhelmed by all the strangers supporting him and wishing him a speedy recovery. I thought to myself how anyone could harm a man that was trying to make a little honest extra money for himself? One of the questions being asked at the rally was "Where is the NAACP and the ACLU? After four days and silence from these "civil rights" organizations, that is a very good question.

Obama is dividing the country and will only make things worse.

See the alleged attacks yourself: www . youtube . com/watch?v=zTXBOgPCh9w - Gladney is the one in the brown shirt, not the blue/purple one, and he's walking and talking to the cameraman, how was he injured? His lawyer's just using him as a martyr, at 0:42 he even says to what extent the attack was: "why did you hit me... why did you hit my hands? Did I bother you?"

    And a frame-by-frame view: netsharc . googlepages . com/viewer-s.htm

Use your own eyes, don't spread the lies you've been fed, have you no credibility?

Bob, Nice try, for one, your link does not work. For 2 you are full of bull dung. Did you think someone would not find a\nd look at the video?????

I don't think the seiu would like to try their strong arm tactics with me. They would have their communist hand full.

Great question indeed. Where was the ACLU and NAACP? Do they not defend black conservatives?

  • CHUCKtheFED 2 years ago

It is my suspicion that a black man dare not 'mess with the message', of the Neo-Libs. I live in the City, and on the near North Side. Can it be, that the purple 'wave of the future' requires all hands on deck? Earlier last Thursday, there was another scuffle, and again, a black man was selling Conservative material. I don't think it was the Gadsen flag that upset folks, it was the sacred Obama crest...red, white and blue...with a four letter word at the bottom. I witnessed a woman vocally berate this 'black' man for desecrating his 'race'... and then she later recanted...(ironically, she was arrested at the later fracas...the 'woman in pink, who claims she works for Carnahan)
Let's hear from inside, just how much pressure there is from the Party, and from the Union (SEIU) to toe the line in these "historic" times. Let's just see how Democracy evolves in MY neighborhood.

Thanks for Coming out for that, the SEIU Cowards wouldn't even come out of the Building to apologize. The Video Does NOT Show the Whole account. You are seeing it after Ken was attacked. He was held in the hospital overnight for observations. The Man that Directed Ken to Go Stand over near the man with the Camera is a Preacher and Retired Marine. He says it happened the way it is told, and I was there to see the Aftermath, after the Adreniline wore of Ken, he was shaking and sitting on the Curb. Bob, Video may not lie, but if you don't see the whole thing it can still not tell the Whole truth.

How odd, when you look up the video on youtube and watch the whole thing, people are attacking the supposed "attackers", Gladney is up after seconds (while one of the attackers is not) saying "why did you hit my hands", running around talking to people, and not nearly as injured as he is in videos taken the next day.

I watched over a dozen videos taken over many hours that day at that location by various people. It is really interesting that several of the bystanders/people saying Gladney was attacked are in multiple videos claiming this or that person was attacked/pushed or otherwise right up in some controversy. Do not take my word for it, I won't even point out which ones, go look for yourself. Watch carefully and see if you still feel that it is just a coincidence that the same 3, 4, or 5 "innocent citizens" protesting peacefully are involved in 5 (that I have found so far) different incidents throughout the day.

to me it looks like Gladney pushed someone down and was pushed down in retaliation. he looks fine, dont see any thugs kicking him in the head...he is a pathological liar like other sociopath hyper patriots

The protest at SEIU was at an empty building - they were closed for the day.

God bless you all and remove the scales from your eyes.

If you look carefully, you can see that Gladney is thrown to the ground by a man wearing an SEIU shirt, and 3 seconds later Gladney back on his feet. Of importance, at the beginning of the video that I saw, there is already an SEIU member on the ground before Gladney is thrown. During the shouting afterward, you can hear someone (presumably an SEIU member) say about Gladney, "He attacked a minister!" Putting it all together, it sounds like Gladney knocked down a minister who was an SEIU member, and was attacked by a single SEIU member in retaliation.

I don't condone what the SEIU member did, but to say that Gladney was beaten up by an angry mob in an unprovoked attack is stretching the truth.

This guy was also laid off earlier this year and has no health insurance. Who's paying for his hospital bills?

  • greguva 2 years ago

P.S. He's not in a cast. And, again, if he were in a cast, that would prove nothing except that he has access to the same hospital supply company where he got his wheelchair.

  • greguva 2 years ago

FYI, the SEIU man who was on the ground at the beginning of the video has been identified as a minister, and has been reported as having a broken and dislocated shoulder (you can see him in the video holding his shoulder). Now, this may or may not be any more true than the reports of Gladney's injuries. And it's still not clear who actually started the ruckus - maybe the minister did. But we should make an effort to get the facts before jumping to conclusions.

The SEIU- How many of you even know what that stands for? Look it up. The majority of members are hospital personel or work in nursing homes, etc. Think about that a minute. Do people who work in those fields care for people? Of course they do. All colors. All nationalities.

I've seen the original video of this fight. What a joke, this is the biggest farce.
