HUFFINGTON: It's not about the word police. It's about something deeper. It's about the fact that there's a tradition, as the historian Richard Hofstadter said, in American politics of the paranoid style.
AILES: I agree with you. I read something on your blog that said I looked like J. Edgar Hoover, I had a face like a fist, and I was essentially a malignant tumor.
Huffington used an example of Glenn Beck comparing what Al Gore is doing to what Hilter did. And the fact that people tend to say well that is just the way Glenn Beck instead of holding him accountable for his words.
Huffington was asked why she thinks Glenn Beck has been so popular, to which she responded that anytime you instill fear in people and appeal to their emotions for whatever reason, then you will be popular.
People in the state of Utah are generally big supporters of Glenn Beck and his show, and Glenn Beck has made several trips to Utah to speak, but supporters have declined in the state because of some of the outlandish comments he has made over the past few weeks, according to Salt Lake Tribune blogs.
