Here's a chance to travel through time on I-30 (part of historic Route 66) riding with a 1958 Buick Roadmaster 75, lovingly restored by Colorado resident Ed Hendricks before his passing. Ed left the big Buick to the Sloan Longway Museum in Flint, MI where some of the most historically relevant Buicks are kept. His wife Barbara completed the donation and traveled with us to the Sloan Longway Museum.
Jeremy Dimick, the Curator of Collections at the Sloan Longway Museum, carefully piloted the 1958 Buick Roadmaster the entire journey. I followed in a 2014 Buick Regal GS (supplied by Buick) and documented the journey. It took three days to cover over 1,300 miles, but the 1958 Buick Roadmaster 75 purred like a kitten the entire way.
