American Idol judges sent 7 contestants through to the Season 9 "Top 24" Tuesday night, but the one of evening's most notable highlights may have come from rejected contestant Jessica Furney.
'American Idol' announces 7 of Season 9's Top 24
Furney, a 21-year-old performer from Wamego, Kansas, took the news of her rejection from the American Idol Season 9 Top 24 by launching into a breathless plea for reconsideration that was reminiscent of Season 8's Tatiana del Toro.
"You guys have no idea. You guys have no idea," Furney repeatedly desperately after Randy Jackson delivered the bad news. "Seriously, I have this in me. You have no idea what I can do, and I have tried to show it and I have lost my voice on group day,....just...the passion in me and the drive-it is unbelievable. Just, please see that. I can do this. Do not send me home. I have it. I do. I have it. I've got it. You have to see that. It is in here and this is so important to me. Please. Please. I have got it."

When the judges panel finally convinced Furney that no amount of begging would change their minds, she made one final request:
"Can I ask something then? Can you tell me what I did wrong?"
"You didn't sing as well as the others," responded Simon Cowell.
Jessica Furney told American Idol cameras during her post-rejction interview that her dismissal was "not fair" and placed the blame on her fellow performers from the "group audition". "Next time," said Jessica Furney. "I've got to look out for myself a little bit more."
Jessica Furney wasone of the contestants featured during the early rounds of this season's American Idol, and drew media attention by auditioning with 'Footprints in the Sand,' a song co-written by judge Simon Cowell.
