Alicia Keys got a big surprise on Friday when she arrived at the 40 Principales Awards. The entertainer was part of the program and picked up an award, but it was an impromptu moment that stuck in the minds of the fans. Sharing a second on her birthday, the entire crowd in Madrid sang happy birthday to her live.
“Awww!!! what a sweet birthday this is!! Such a beautiful memory to have of Madrid!! Thank u thank u Spain!!” tweeted Alicia Keys from her official Twitter account.
While the star looked surprised it had to be a moment to remember. The crowd raised the roof as they sang to the star and surprisingly everyone sounded pretty good for such a moment. While most fans probably didn’t gave vocal exercises before the singing and few probably didn’t even know they were going to be involved until the moment it happened, it was heartwarming and beautiful.
