Alicia Keys got the attention of the citizens when she hit the stage for her performance at the inauguration ball in Washington on Monday night. While many fans assumed that she would be singing Girl On Fire, but nobody thought she would be changing the lyrics for a tribute to President Obama.

While the special moment changed the mood of the moment, when Keys sang “Obama is on fire,” instead of the lyrics heard on the studio album, many fans raised their glasses during the moment to honor the Commander-in-Chief. As fans definitely loved the chance to reflect the man in charge, it was also a reason for people to sing along to the special rendition of the song.

The special tribute from Alicia Keys was one of many that were expected to be heard at the inauguration balls. Looking to make the best of the evening, the President will be honored and remembered for his previous work and the work of his future.
