Alicia Keys not only performed live at the Super Bowl, she brought her piano to do it. The accomplished entertainer was the second artist on the field to perform before the beginning of the Super Bowl game in New Orleans on Sunday night. While some fans didn't know what to expect, the entertainer didn't miss a beat as she belted out the national anthem for the crowd.
“One of the most watched games all year & I was on millions of TVs... I was definitely feeling those butterflyz!!” tweeted Alicia Keys from her official Twitter account on Sunday only minutes after showing up on the field and singing.
As fans of Alicia Keys really found the performance to be inspiring, so did the fans. Looking to honor America and reflect on a moment for the country, it seemed to set the tone for the big game and the upcoming halftime show.
