Adam Lambert performed for 4,500 screaming Angelenos at the New Year's Eve Gridlock 2009 bash at the Paramount Pictures lot in West Hollywood on Thursday night.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Adam Lambert asked Gridlock audience coyly: "Do I look like a firework? Because that's what I was going for."
Adam Lambert's set list for Gridlock 2009 went as follows:
Music Again
If I Had You
Whataya Want From Me
Strut
Surefire Winners
Soaked
For Your Entertainment
Sleepwalker
Fever
Down the Rabbit Hole
Encore: Whole Lotta Love
The fact that Adam Lambert's performance was not televised or even recorded in any official capacity drove 'Glambert' fans who weren't lucky enough to score one of the exclusive tickets even more determined to get a copy of the performance, not less. Adam Lambert fans Tweeted throughout the night with updates on Gridlock attendees scoring guerrilla footage of the performance on cell phones.
Adam Lambert reportedly performed for about 40 minutes after the Hollywood clocks struck midnight. Check out video culled from Gridlock attendees and dedicated Adam Lambert fan network members committed to spreading the joy of their guy-linered, glitterati-ed master.

HEY from all the photos you could have used why use one of the worst ones? Anyway it was epiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic!!!!!!! Crazy but fun everyone was hammered lmao. Adam was really good, stood out from the other acts, you could barely hear some of them.
I HAVE BETTER PICS THAN YOU EXAMINER :P
him and his bassist are sooooo hot together onstage can't believe he's straight (the bassist). lol i cracked up so hard when the straight drunkish dudes were all "YEAAAAH" everytime he interacted with him rofffllll. ahh good times i'm prob gonna go to his tour actually
It's so weird to me how he's all adorable and cute and disarming offstage then gets onstage and transforms. Loud huge sexual swagger mixed with flamboyance I think it's freaking amazing.
That's part of his appeal. He's super charming and sweet and hilarious and chill in person but he has so much intensity and energy onstage.
I don't know what it is that some people have that pulls people in ? but he had everyone round his little finger. I mean almost everyone was hammered yet when he came on everyone's eyes were on him and you could feel the excitement build up and no one was bored.
He's in another world up there, that's partly what seperates good performers, and performers isn't it. His band are amazing as well, they're perfect. God I had so much fun1 I'm def. going to his tour it's gonna be wild.
can i just say i LOVED his outfit. the boots and jacket were AMAZING.
Rotten sound......this shouldn't go out to the public.....it will cause him even more trouble
He's so fabulous and perfect.....if this wasn't going to be televised it shouldn't even be shown at all...with such horrible sound.....uugghhhh..so frustrating!
I was fortunate enough to be there in the VIP section. OMG this was the most amazing performance ever the vocals were perfect Adam was perfect. He sang with such heartfelt intensity and power he takes you into his soul when he sings...I will be a fan forever. I hope everyone takes a moment to really listen to Adam. He is the most amazing singer and performer to come along in years
I was less than 50ft away from the main stage and while my video is so-so, my audio is so much better than youtube - can hardly believe it! Started taping 10 min before Pam... anyway - never thought I would say the words "rest in peace, Freddie!" - there is another rock God to take over for ya' all! Adam came, chatted, laughed - and then sang. That voice exploded like a volcano, blanketed and drowned out the crowd with its mesmerizing, hypnotic-like perfection. It took a life on its own and even shut out the DJ down the block. And then came DTRH - a tune so breathtaking when heard and seen life - suddenly the iTunes' exclusive felt like a watered-down version by comparison. Yes - the encore was WLL - and shortly before 1 am on the first day of the new decade it was confirmed what has been coming now for almost a year - Led Zeppelin need to retire and stake out VIP tickets for Adam's concerts. This was an amazing performance. Why talk about all the superficial stuff? Just watch these videos. Adam Lambert is unbelievable. Go to mjsbigblog to see great videos.
He keeps these better pics under his bed and they are not better anymore now that he has soiled them and spilled his seed upon them.
Whoever lies with an animal shall be put to death.
Hey you Exodus, stop living in the past!! Lambert is just for SHOW! Embrace him as your brother and fill it with kindness
Adam's Whole Lotta Love was better than ever at this concert. Saw him on the IDOL tour and he blew the roof off with that song- absolutely KILLED it, NAILED it. But this encore performance, if it is even possible, was the best Whole Lotta Love he has ever done. Adam takes it to another level with each performance. Totally IS the music. Embodies the music and lyrics, BECOMES the music with every note and every word. I continue to be in awe of his as a performer. He is also so mature, self aware and gracious, it just boggles my mind that one person can have all of these qualities. I just hope the AMA mess doesn't keep newer fans from checking out the range and depth of the material he has already done and from following what is to come. Adam is one of a kind. As Paula said, he's a "Whole Lotta Perfect!"
Adam was AMAZING!!! He is a born singer and preformer. LOVE him!!!
